Washington, July 17 -- The US airstrikes on Iran's three nuclear facilities on June 22, allegedly managed to destroy only one of the three sites, according to a report by US media agency NBC.

As per the latest assessment, the airstrikes have pushed back the Fordo facility by at least two years if not more, though the ones in Natanz and Isfahan - while damaged enough to set back uranium enrichment- were not destroyed, and in fact still operational.

The assessment, part of a post-strike examination by the Trump administration to determine the actual extent of the damage, showed that Iran could still resume enrichment within several months if it wanted.
