Geneva, Nov. 24 -- The United States and Ukraine announced they have developed an "updated and refined peace framework" aimed at ending the war with Russia, revising an earlier Trump-administration proposal that Kyiv and several Western allies had criticized as overly favorable to Moscow.
At the Geneva meeting, the United States and Ukraine reaffirmed that Ukraine's sovereignty and security remain at the core of the diplomatic process to resolve the conflict. "They reaffirmed that any future agreement must fully uphold Ukraine's sovereignty and deliver a sustainable and just peace. As a result of the discussions, the parties drafted an updated and refined peace framework," the joint statement said.
