Tehran, April 19 -- The second round of indirect talks between Iran and the United States on Tehran's nuclear program will begin in the Italian capital of Rome on Saturday.

The talks will be led by Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi and US special presidential envoy for the Middle East Steve Witkoff.

The new round comes a week after the Omani capital of Muscat hosted the inaugural talks last Saturday. Oman will continue to act as a mediator during the second round, while Italy will act as a host nation.
