Thiruvananthpuram, Oct. 8 -- The Kerala Legislative Assembly today witnessed uproarious scenes as the Opposition United Democratic Front (UDF) launched a scathing attack on Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and the ruling CPI(M), accusing them of shielding those involved in the alleged misappropriation of gold during the Sabarimala temple's 2019 gold-plating works.

Proceedings were briefly disrupted after remarks made by the Chief Minister, which the Opposition described as "provocative and insulting."Leader of the Opposition V. D. Satheesan alleged that the government and the Travancore Devaswom Board (TDB) were attempting to cover up the loss of temple valuables.
