New Delhi, Sept. 1 -- The Unified Payments Interface (UPI) achieved a milestone by crossing the mark of 20 billion monthly transactions in August, as per the data released by National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) released today.
The data further noted that the total number of transactions remained at 20.01 billion in August.
"In terms of value, it was Rs 24.85 lakh crore as against Rs 25.08 lakh crore recorded in July.""Average daily transactions amount was 80,177 crore during August, and average daily transaction count was 645 million during the month," the data added.
