Varanasi / Prayagraj, Aug. 3 -- Flood situation in Varanasi and Prayagraj has further worsened on Sunday as the waters of Ganga, Yamuna, and other rivers have entered several localities.
As tomorrow is the last Monday of the holy month of Sravan, devotees have thronged the inundated 84 ghats of Kashi to take Gangajal.
A report from Varanasi says in many areas, including Assi, Samneghat, Maruti Nagar, the water of Ganga and Varuna river has reached the roads. The sanctum sanctorum of Sheetla temple and Ratneshwar Mahadev temple has been filled with water.
