Prayagraj, Dec. 1 -- A large flock of Siberian birds has arrived at the Triveni Sangam in Prayagraj here in Uttar Pradesh, transforming it into a center of attraction for tourists and devotees.
These birds migrate from the extremely cold climate of Siberia during winter and reside on the islands of the Sangam from November to March. After traveling 5,000 kilometers during the winter, these flocks of birds arrive at the confluence of the Ganga, Yamuna and the Saraswati, where they find food and favourable weather.
Their presence enhances the natural beauty of the Sangam and increases the number of tourists. People come by boat to feed the birds and enjoy their chirping.
