Bareilly, April 7 -- A large-scale anti-encroachment drive was carried out by the Municipal Corporation today as part of the Chief Minister's Green Road Infrastructure Development (GRID) Scheme.

Authorities deployed bulldozers to remove illegal structures that were hindering the progress of the project.

During the drive, encroachments outside more than 60 shops were demolished. Officials stated that multiple notices had been issued over the past two months, warning shopkeepers to remove the encroachments voluntarily. While some complied, many failed to act, prompting the Nigam to initiate strict action.
