Sambhal, March 3 -- A man was shot dead allegedly by his younger brother and nephews over a long-standing dispute on their mother's pension in Sambhal district today.

The accused fled the scene after committing the crime.

The incident took place in Rajikhera village under the Ainchora Kamboh police station area.

The deceased, Sanjeev Kumar (56), was the son of the late Ved Prakash, a primary school teacher who passed away in 2006. After his death, his wife, Omvati Devi, began receiving a pension.
