Bichhiya (Bahraich), April 9 -- Panic has gripped villages in the Katarniaghat Wildlife Division as incidents of leopard attacks show no sign of slowing down. Two separate attacks reported this week have left several villagers seriously injured, intensifying fear in the region, officials said on Thursday.
The first incident took place late Tuesday night in Kutiya village under Rampurwa Gram Panchayat in the Nishangada range. A leopard entered the house of a villager, Indal Sahani, around 11 PM and killed a goat tied in the courtyard by severing its head.
