Lakhimapur Kheri, April 26 -- An incident has shaken a village in Lakhimpur Kheri after a leopard attacked and killed a woman late Saturday night in the Singahi police station area.
The victim, identified as Sandhya Devi (30), was sleeping on a cot inside her house along with her children under a mosquito net in Sahijna village, officials said on Sunday.
According to reports, the house was open, allowing a leopard to enter during the night. The animal attacked Sandhya, clamped her in its jaws, and dragged her away.
