Lucknow, July 24 -- Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya has launched a sharp offensive against the Samajwadi Party (SP), accusing its leadership of misusing socialism as a facade for personal gain.

In a social media post on Thursday, Maurya described the party as an "organised gang" that thrives on land grabbing and misgoverning.

"Samajwadi Party, which stands at zero in terms of ideology, is merely an organised gang of occupiers," Maurya wrote. He alleged that from top to bottom, SP leaders treat public and government land as their personal property, further adding, "In the name of socialism, they are only working to expand the 'Saifai empire.''
