Mathura, April 11 -- The death toll in the tragic boat accident in Vrindavan has climbed to 11, as rescue teams continue an intensive search for those still missing in the Yamuna River.
The incident occurred on Friday between Keshi Ghat and Banshi Vat when a motorboat carrying 37 pilgrims collided with a pontoon bridge and capsized.
According to officials, teams from the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), local police, and PAC divers are conducting round-the-clock search operations. Several survivors have been rescued and are undergoing treatment at nearby hospitals.
