Lucknow, April 2 -- Uttar Pradesh Congress Committee President Ajay Rai visited a hospital in Lucknow to meet an injured police constable and demanded adequate compensation and support for him and his family.
The injured constable, Akash Singh of the Government Railway Police (GRP), was seriously hurt in a tragic incident at a railway station in Gonda district while attempting to catch a thief fleeing police custody. During the chase, he was struck by a moving train, resulting in the loss of both his legs. He is currently undergoing treatment at King George's Medical University (KGMU).
