Lucknow, Nov. 18 -- School education in Uttar Pradesh is set to take a new shape as students will now explore hands-on experiments and learn about local industries, a top official said on Tuesday.

As part of the plan, an initiative of state Basic Education Minister Sandeep Singh, schools must now hold ten bagless days each academic year for classes 6, 7 and 8.

Based on the 'Anandam Guidebook' prepared by the State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT), detailed instructions have been issued to the BSAs of all 75 districts. Its purpose is to connect children with joyful, skill-based and experiential learning.
