Lucknow, Aug. 4 -- Uttar Pradesh has launched an extensive state-level rollout of the 'Har Ghar Tiranga' campaign, to hoist 4.60 crore national flags across homes, institutions, and public spaces between August 2 and August 15.

The initiative, part of the nationwide celebration under Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, is being implemented in a three-phase format involving schools, local bodies, self-help groups, and government departments.

UP Culture and Tourism Minister Jaiveer Singh confirmed here on Monday that the campaign will operate on a massive scale this year, with 2.60 crore new flags being produced through the National Rural Livelihoods Mission (NRLM), National Urban Livelihoods Mission (NULM), and self-help groups across the state.
