Ayodhya, July 10 -- Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has directed officials to begin implementing a comprehensive plan aimed at promoting carbon absorption and institutionalising the carbon credit trade in the state.
Marking the occasion of Van Mahotsav here yesterday , the Chief Minister has emphasized the importance of integrating Uttar Pradesh's green initiatives with the global carbon market. This, he said, would directly benefit gram panchayats, the forest department, and farmers.
He said the state will now gain both global recognition and economic returns for its environmental efforts and UP is poised to become a model in the carbon credit trade.
