Hyderabad, March 23 -- Telangana PCC President and MLC Bomma Mahesh Kumar Goud on Monday said that 40 to 50 Assembly seats could be reserved for women in the state if delimitation is undertaken.
He was addressing the first executive committee meeting of the Telangana State Mahila Congress held at Gandhi Bhavan, presided over by State Mahila Congress President Errabelli Swarna.
Highlighting the role of women in politics, Goud said women constitute half of the population and must be given greater representation in legislative bodies. He stressed the need to strengthen the party at all levels, particularly by encouraging youth and building local leadership.
