Lucknow, Feb. 27 -- A statewide Human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccination campaign is being launched from Saturday to prevent cervical cancer in Uttar Pradesh.
Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak will launch the campaign in Lucknow. This program is part of the national vaccination campaign, which will be launched by the Prime Minister from Ajmer.
According to the Health Department here on Friday, the target is to vaccinate approximately 4.6 million adolescent girls in the state for HPV.
A single dose of Gardasil-4 vaccine will be given free of charge to adolescent girls who have completed 14 years of age and under 15 years of age. This vaccine will be available at Ayushman Arogya Mandirs, primary and community health centers, district hosp...
