Meerut, Sept. 20 -- The Uttar Pradesh Special Task Force (STF) has busted an interstate gang involved in duping youth by promising recruitment into the Indian Army under the Agniveer scheme.

Two active members of the gang have been arrested, and several fake documents, mobile phones, a car, and other items have been seized from their possession.

The arrested accused have been identified as Naresh Kumar and Sachin Kumar, both residents of Muzaffarnagar.

According to STF officials, the duo had been cheating aspiring candidates for a long time, collecting large sums of money by falsely promising them entry into the Indian Army.
