Lucknow, Dec. 4 -- In a major crackdown on drug trafficking, the Uttar Pradesh Police Special Task Force (STF) arrested two smugglers and seized synthetic drugs worth Rs 80 lakh in Lucknow.
The accused were reportedly part of an inter-state narcotics network operating across multiple states, police said today.
Acting on a tip-off, the STF team intercepted a Tata Safari near Gabbar Dhaba on Sultanpur Road in the Gosainganj area of Lucknow. During the search, officers recovered 523 grams of MDMA (Methylenedioxymethamphetamine), a banned synthetic drug.
