Lucknow, April 8 -- Applauding the Yogi Adityanath government for extending insurance cover of Rs 50 lakh to the police personnel's and the health department employees, Uttar Pradesh power employee's joint action committee has demanded similar favour for the power employees.
The committee argued that the power employees also work in adverse and risky environment and they should also be given the insurance cover of Rs 50 lakh.
Mr Shailendra Dube convenor of the committee said here on Wednesday that the power employees at the time of the pandemic COVID-19 are vulnerable to risks and for maintaining their morale they should also be given insurance cover.
