Lucknow, Sept. 20 -- On the appeal of the All India Muslim Personal Law Board (AIMPLB), Muslims across Uttar Pradesh observed Youm-e-Dua - a Day of Prayer -today for the protection of Waqf properties and the success of the case in the Supreme Court challenging the Waqf Amendment Act, 2025.

Delivering the Friday sermon at Jama Masjid Eidgah, Lucknow, Maulana Khalid Rasheed Farangi Mahali stated that Waqf is an integral part of Islam, as mentioned in the Quran. He emphasised that the Prophet of Islam, his companions, and other Muslims donated their personal properties in the name of Allah, which is known as Waqf.
