Lucknow, April 22 -- Uttar Pradesh Minister of State for Minority Welfare, Waqf Board, and Hajj, Danish Azad Ansari, flagged off the first batch of Hajj pilgrims on Wednesday morning.

This time all the Hajj pilgrims would get AI and technology assistance during their 40 days stay in Mecca and Madina.

A total of 427 Hajj pilgrims, including 222 men and 205 women, departed on the first Hajj 2026 flight.

The minister welcomed and greeted all those present on the occasion.
