Lucknow, Oct. 7 -- The Uttar Pradesh government celebrated Maharishi Valmiki Jayanti today with devotion and reverence through a series of religious and cultural events held across all 75 districts of the state in collaboration with local administration.
In Lucknow, UP Tourism and Culture Minister Jaiveer Singh inaugurated the Akhand Ramayana Path at the Naya Hanuman temple in Aliganj, marking the beginning of continuous recitations of sage Valmiki's Ramayana across the state.
Later, the Minister, along with Rajya Sabha MP Brijlal, visited Gautam Buddha Vihar Colony in Jankipuram, where they honoured community members with the Valmiki Samman.
