Prayagraj, April 29 -- In a harsh comment, the Allahabad High Court has said that the state Human Rights Commission's order to have the Economic Offences Wing( EOW) investigate madrasas in Uttar Pradesh is prima facie illegal.
The High Court made this comment during the hearing on the EOW investigation of 588 aided madrasas in Uttar Pradesh on Wednesday. The hearing was held before a bench of Justice Atul Shridharan and Justice Vivek Saran.
The court made a comment that when Muslims are mob-lynched, the Human Rights Commission remains silent. But now, instead of performing its duty, the Human Rights Commission is ordering investigations into madrasas.
