Lucknow, April 23 -- Urban areas across Uttar Pradesh are set for a major overhaul, with the state government preparing a blueprint to implement schemes worth over Rs 25,000 crore aimed at their rejuvenation, official sources said here on Wednesday.

Sources said that the initiative seeks to significantly upgrade infrastructure and services in cities throughout the state. "The Urban Development Department has allocated this substantial sum within the annual budget, drawing funds from both state and central government schemes," they said.
