Lucknow, April 23 -- The Uttar Pradesh government has set an ambitious target to boost silk production by connecting 7,500 group members through the State Rural Livelihood Mission in the 2025-26 action plan, official sources said here on Wednesday.
Sources said that the initiative marks a significant step toward rural employment and the vision of a self-reliant India. "To boost silk production, the Yogi government has devised a focused strategy for intensive implementation across 15 districts this financial year," they said.
