Lucknow, Oct. 30 -- The Uttar Pradesh government has decided to grant paid leave to residents of seven districts bordering Bihar so that they can cast their votes in the state assembly polls.

The state's General Administration Department issued the order, announcing paid leave for Bihar voters who work or are employed in the border districts of UP. This leave will be granted on November 6 and 11.

The General Administration Department issued this order under Section 135B of the Representation of the People Act, 1951. With the Governor's consent, the facility will be available to all Bihari voters who hold government or private jobs or work as daily wage labourers in UP.
