Lucknow, April 1 -- The Uttar Pradesh government is set to start the construction of a 1.18-km-long elevated road in Varanasi to be developed at a cost of Rs 104.69 crore, official sources said here on Tuesday.
Sources said that the UP State Bridge Corporation Limited (UPSBC) has been entrusted with the responsibility and has prepared a comprehensive blueprint for its execution. "The four-lane elevated road will connect Kasturba Gandhi Vidyalaya on Ring Road to Sarnath Railway Station, significantly easing traffic congestion for tourists and locals traveling to Sarnath. Construction will begin in April and be completed in two years," they said.
