Lucknow, Aug. 10 -- The Uttar Pradesh government, working on a war footing to make the state filariasis-free by 2027, launched a Mass Drug Administration (MDA) campaign in 195 blocks of the state's 27 districts today, officials said.
The primary objective of the drive is to eliminate lymphatic filariasis from the state by 2027, the officials said.
Launching the campaign, public representatives in the 27 districts consumed the medicine for filariasis.
