Lucknow, April 18 -- The Uttar Pradesh government has significantly increased financial commitment as with a total expenditure exceeding Rs 2,500 crore under various welfare schemes, the state government aims to bring tangible relief and progress to lakhs of individuals from backward communities, official sources said here on Friday.
Sources said that the initiative reflects the government's steadfast commitment to inclusive development, focusing on education, skill development, social support, housing and infrastructure to foster social empowerment.
According to the Backward Classes Welfare Department, the government has allocated Rs 168.75 crore under the Pre-Matric Scholarship Scheme, benefitting over 7.94 lakh students from Classes 1...
