Lucknow, March 12 -- The Uttar Pradesh government has decided to reinstate IAS officer Abhishek Prakash, according to sources in the state administration.
His reinstatement is expected to be considered effective after March 14, although no official confirmation has yet been issued by the state's appointment department to the media.
Prakash, a 2006-batch IAS officer and former CEO of Invest UP, was suspended on March 20, 2025, following serious allegations of demanding a bribe from a solar company in exchange for project approval.
However, in February 2026, the Allahabad High Court reportedly quashed the chargesheet against him due to lack of evidence.
