Lucknow, June 26 -- Uttar Pradesh government has said the academic session in all engineering colleges and polytechnics under the administrative control of the technical education department is running as per schedule and degree and diplomas are being awarded and the placement of students is also taking place.
There are three technical universities, 14 government aided affiliate engineering colleges, 600 private engineering colleges, 147 government run polytechnics, 19 government aided polytechnics and 1,117 private polytechnics and six polytechnics owned and run by other government departments are under the administrative control of the technical education department.
