Lucknow, Aug. 13 -- The Uttar Pradesh government has reiterated that fertilizer stocks are sufficient across the state and urged farmers to avoid hoarding.
According to the Agriculture Department officials here today, fertilizer sales during the Kharif season have exceeded last year's levels, with 29.52 lakh metric tons sold from April 1 to August 12, 2025, compared to 24.80 lakh metric tons in the same period of 2024.
Fertilizer sales till August 12, 2025, are 4.71 lakh metric tons higher than last year, the Agriculture Department reported.
