Lucknow, Oct. 29 -- Yogi Adityanath government in Uttar Pradesh has announced to hike Minimum Support Price ( MSP) of Sugarcane by Rs 30 per quintal in the 2024-26 season.
After the hike, the new price of sugarcane in UP as per the MSP will be Rs 400 per quintal for early variety and Rs 390 for normal variety.
Sugarcane price hike will result in an additional payment of Rs 3,000 crore.
Sugarcane Development minister Choudhury Laxmi Narain said here today that the Yogi Adityanath government has consistently increased sugarcane prices, increasing the support price four times since 2017.
