Lucknow, Sept. 15 -- The Uttar Pradesh government has fixed September 25 as the last date for the appointment of crop surveyors for various departments including Panchayati Raj, Rural Development and Agriculture, official sources said here today.
Sources said that these surveyors will replace the traditional Lekhpals, who were initially assigned the task of crop survey in all revenue villages of UP.
"The project is part of the broader Agristack and Digital Agriculture Mission that seeks an integrated, verified source of data about farmers, their land, crops and related variables.
