Prayagraj, Feb. 23 -- In line with the Uttar Pradesh government's commitment to the well-being of senior citizens, the Social Welfare Department has organised Shravan Kumbh in Maha Kumbh area, providing free medical check-ups and assistive devices, official sources said here on Sunday.
Sources said that So far, 1,847 assistive devices have been distributed, including hearing aids, lumbar belts, knee support belts, walking sticks, wheelchairs, spinal support, and cervical collars, so far. "Under the guidance of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and the directives of Social Welfare Minister Aseem Arun, the Department is running a dedicated camp in the Maha Kumbh area," they said.
