Lucknow, Aug. 29 -- In compliance with the order of the Supreme Court and in the wake of the upcoming festive season, the Uttar Pradesh government has banned the manufacture, storage, sale (including online sale) and use of firecrackers in the Delhi National Capital Region (NCR), official sources said here.
Official sources said that the ban will be effective in the Meerut, Ghaziabad, Gautam Buddha Nagar (Noida), Bulandshahr, Hapur, Baghpat, Shamli, and Muzaffarnagar districts. "A fine will be imposed for violating the order," they said.
