Lucknow, May 15 -- The Uttar Pradesh government in a push for food security has approved Rs 179.42 crore to strengthen the fair price distribution system under the National Food Security Act (NFSA), official sources said here on Thursday.
Sources said that the funding will enhance operations across the supply chain, from procurement to delivery and interstate coordination, improving the efficiency of the Food and Civil Supplies Department.
Sources said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, a comprehensive campaign is underway to ensure food security for the state's poor.
