Lucknow, Sept. 7 -- The rain and floods are continuing to create havoc in Uttar Pradesh, crippling normal lives.
A report from Shahjahanpur said today that the flood water of the Garra river has filled up the campus of the Government Medical College.
The medical college underwent forced closure and the patients were shifted to Bhawalkheda CHC. Two patients have been referred to Lucknow, while some patients have been admitted to a private nursing home.
Sources said Medical equipment and mattresses are kept folded on the beds so that if water enters the ward, there is not much damage. The Delhi-Lucknow highway in Shahjahanpur also was submerged in flood water.
