Varanasi, Oct. 16 -- The Prohibition Department, Uttar Pradesh, today organised a state-level seminar and special programmes at the Centenary Auditorium, Institute of Agricultural Sciences, Banaras Hindu University (BHU), Varanasi, under the Drug-Free India Campaign.
The programme, which was held in collaboration with the Dean of Students, Faculty of Student Welfare, BHU, aimed to raise awareness among youth about the ill effects of drug abuse.
Nitin Agarwal, Minister for the Excise and Prohibition Department, participated as the chief guest. The programme was presided over by Vice Chancellor Prof Ajit Kumar Chaturvedi.
