Lucknow, Sept. 21 -- Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya will lead the delegation carrying the sacred relics of Lord Buddha to an exhibition to be organised by the Ministry of Culture, Government of India, in Kalmykia, Russia, from September 24 to October 1.
The delegation will leave on September 23 by an Indian Air Force plane for Russia, where the sacred Piprahwa (Kapilvastu) relics of Lord Buddha will be displayed.
Maurya stated today that the international journey of the Kapilvastu relics will be an effective medium for India's soft power and cultural diplomacy.
