Lucknow, March 25 -- : Strict action has been taken against officials and employees found negligent in the execution of the Jal Jeevan Mission in Uttar Pradesh-a program aimed at delivering tap water to every rural household across the state.
Disciplinary action has been initiated against a total of 26 engineers and personnel, 12 of whom have been placed under suspension.
Anurag Srivastava, Additional Chief Secretary of the Namami Gange and Rural Water Supply Department, initiated this action on Wednesday against officials holding the ranks of Executive Engineer, Assistant Engineer, and Junior Engineer.
