Varanasi, Dec. 15 -- A local court on Monday heard the case regarding the replacement of the torn cloth covering the sealed toilet lock at Gyanvapi.
The matter was heard by district judge Sanjeev Shukla.
Rajesh Mishra, the government-appointed special counsel, stated that the district court will not issue any further orders on this matter. He said the court noted that the Supreme Court is continuing to hear provisions of the Places of Worship (Special Provisions) Act, 1991.
The apex court had on December 12 last year ordered that subordinate and lower courts would not accept any new cases or pass any orders that would impact the Supreme Court hearings.
