Lucknow, Sept. 8 -- Uttar Pradesh Congress president Ajay Rai today visited a gurdwara located in Chandar Nagar, Alambagh, Lucknow, where he offered 'ardas' (prayers) for the well-being of those affected by the recent floods in Punjab. Rai handed over financial assistance to the flood victims to the gurdwara granthi.
Addressing the media, Ajay Rai emphasized that although natural disasters cannot be prevented, disaster management institutions, both at national and state levels, can be strengthened to ensure swift response and maximum rescue efforts.
