Lucknow, Dec. 19 -- Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, taking a tough stance on the illegal smuggling of codeine-based cough syrup, said that strong evidence of illicit trafficking has emerged with Samajwadi Party, following which the government has taken strict action.
He said large-scale arrests have also been made in this case. Speaking to reporters outside Assembly premises on Friday, the Chief Minister said that preliminary investigations have revealed that those arrested have links with the Samajwadi Party.
However, he clarified that the final conclusion would only be reached after the completion of the investigation.
