Lucknow, Feb. 27 -- Chief Advisor to Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and former IAS officer Avnish Awasthi has been given one-year extension for the second time.
According to the order issued by the government on Friday, his tenure has now been extended till February 28, 2027 from March 1, 2026.
This is the second extension for the CM''s advisor. Earlier in the first stint, he was appointed as the Advisor from August 28, 2025 to March 1, 2026.
Awanish Awasthi is considered one of the Chief Minister''s most trusted officials. He is known for his administrative experience, policy coordination, and his active role in implementing key decisions.
