UP CM has ordered SIT probe into death of BJP worker in Ghazipur district, claim party office-bearers

Lucknow, Sept. 14 -- Officer-bearers of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) from Ghazipur district today met Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath after the death of a disabled party worker, allegedly due to police beating.

During the meeting, BJP district president Omprakash Rai, District incharge Dr Rakesh Trivedi and former district president Bhanu Pratap Singh apprised the CM about the whole matter. On this, the CM directed the Director General of Police (DGP) to get the incident probed by the Special Investigation Team (SIT).

During the 30-minute meeting, Yogi took information about the entire incident. BJP District InchargeRakesh Trivedi said the CM is "very sad and serious" about the incident.
