Lucknow, Aug. 26 -- Renewing the long-standing demand for improved judicial access in Uttar Pradesh, ruling BJP's Jewar MLA Dhirendra Singh has again written to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, urging the establishment of additional High Court benches across the state.

In his letter, Singh recalled his earlier communication (dated November 21, 2024), where he underscored the state's massive population and the seriousness of the case backlog.

Highlighting the disparity, Singh noted that while Uttar Pradesh, India's most populous state, currently has only the main bench at Allahabad (Prayagraj) and a bench in Lucknow, whereas other states such as Maharashtra, Karnataka, and Madhya Pradesh already operate multiple benches.
